Product Description
Add vibrant colour and exotic character to your garden with the Passiflora violacea ‘Victoria’ Climber Plant from New Leaf. One of the oldest and most admired passion flower hybrids, this reliable evergreen climber combines vigorous growth with an exceptionally long flowering period.
Large bowl-shaped blooms appear throughout summer and autumn in rich shades of purplish-red, each flower beautifully detailed with a striking ring of dark filaments tipped in white. The unusual flowers contrast perfectly against the plant’s lush green lobed foliage, creating a bold and eye-catching display in both traditional and contemporary gardens.
This fast-growing passion flower climber is ideal for training over trellis panels, garden arches, pergolas, fences, and sunny walls, where it quickly creates height, structure, and seasonal interest. It also performs exceptionally well in large containers with suitable support, making it a great option for patios, courtyards, conservatories, and sheltered outdoor spaces.
Passiflora violacea ‘Victoria’ thrives in fertile, moist but well-drained soil and benefits from a warm, sheltered position protected from cold winds. In colder parts of the UK, winter protection is recommended to help maintain healthy growth and encourage reliable flowering year after year.
