Product Description

The Dark Lasagne Spring Bulb Selection Pack is designed to create a dramatic and sophisticated spring bulb display. It contains 7 Crocus ‘Prins Claus’, 3 Hyacinth ‘Carnegie’ and 5 Tulipa ‘Queen of Night’, bringing together contrasting flower forms and colours in one coordinated collection.

Perfect for lasagne bulb planting, the different varieties can be planted in layers within a suitable container. Early-flowering crocuses can provide the first burst of spring colour, followed by the fragrant hyacinths, while the striking Tulipa ‘Queen of Night’ provides a dramatic later display.

The rich colour palette makes this collection particularly effective in contemporary planting schemes, patios and borders. The combination of delicate crocus flowers, architectural hyacinth blooms and deep tulips creates plenty of seasonal contrast and visual interest.

Care Tips

• Plant bulbs during the recommended autumn planting period to allow them to establish before winter.

• Use a well-drained, fertile growing medium, particularly when planting in containers.

• For lasagne planting, position bulbs at their appropriate planting depths, with the deepest bulbs planted first.

• Place containers in a sunny or bright position for the best flowering display.

• Water thoroughly after planting and keep the compost suitably moist during active growth, avoiding waterlogging.

• After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally so the bulbs can store energy for the following year.

• Remove spent flowers if desired, but avoid cutting back foliage until it has naturally yellowed and died back.
