Detailed Description
Dromedaries inhabit the deserts of Africa and Asia, where they mainly eat leaves, dry grasses and thorny plants. Contrary to a common misconception, their humps do not store water. Instead, they contain fat that can provide energy when food is difficult to find.
The upright, well-filled hump of this Schleich® dromedary suggests that it has recently eaten well. Carefully modelled with authentic details, the figurine is ideal for creating desert habitats, discovering more about wildlife or enjoying imaginative animal adventures.
