With relatively short stems and an eventual height of around 35cm, Tulipa ‘Candy Prince’ is well suited to bedding schemes, garden borders and patio pots. Plant these early spring tulips in groups for a fuller display, or combine them with stronger purples, shades of pink and silver foliage for a coordinated planting scheme.

Care and Planting Tips
-
Plant in pots from September to November using fresh, good-quality compost.
-
For borders, plant after the first frosts, typically from mid-October to early December depending on your location, to help reduce the risk of tulip fire.
-
Plant bulbs 15–20cm deep and 10–15cm apart in well-drained soil.
-
If planting is delayed, remove the packaging and store bulbs in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.
-
During active spring growth, apply a high-potash fertiliser according to the product instructions until the leaves begin to die back.
-
Remove faded flower heads and allow the stems and foliage to die back naturally. Bulbs can then be lifted, cleaned, dried and stored for autumn replanting.
