Description
Rosa ‘Mme Alfred Carrière’ produces masses of beautifully formed, loosely cupped flowers that open in shades of creamy white with delicate blush-pink highlights. The blooms are carried repeatedly from June and July through to late autumn, providing a long season of colour and fragrance.
One of its most celebrated qualities is its strong fruity perfume, which fills the surrounding garden with a rich, sweet scent. The plant develops vigorous, upright growth with abundant healthy foliage. While the stems can be quite sturdy, training them horizontally encourages more flowering shoots and creates a graceful, cascading display.
Its tolerance of less-than-perfect conditions, including north-facing aspects and partial shade, has made it a favourite among gardeners for generations.
