Conviviale Primitivo Salento showcases the rich winemaking heritage of southern Italy’s Salento peninsula. Produced from locally grown Primitivo grapes sourced from carefully selected vineyards aged between 20 and 60 years, this wine captures the warmth and character of the Puglia region.
Hand-harvested in early September, the grapes undergo fermentation at controlled temperatures of 28–30°C with daily pumping over and extended skin contact to maximise colour, flavour, and structure. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine is bottled without oak ageing, allowing the pure fruit character of the Primitivo grape to shine through.
The nose reveals inviting aromas of bramble fruit, black cherry, and subtle sweet spice. On the palate, rich flavours of ripe plum and wild cherry are complemented by hints of dried figs, creating depth and complexity. Ripe tannins and fresh acidity work together to provide balance and a smooth, lingering finish.
