Add cascading greenery to your aquarium with Stoffels Weeping Moss. Its distinctive shoots grow downwards, softening the edges of raised hardscape and creating a mature, planted appearance. Position it on branches or elevated rockwork to make the most of its growth habit.

Reaching approximately 3cm in height, this compact aquatic moss is suitable for detailed aquascapes, nano tanks and shrimp displays. Its branching growth also provides useful cover in aquariums containing small fish and in breeding setups.

Weeping Moss is easy to maintain, with a slow to moderate growth rate and occasional trimming required once established. It tolerates shaded positions beneath other plants, while suitable liquid fertiliser and optional CO₂ supplementation help support growth.

Care & Planting Tips

Gently rinse away the culture medium and divide the moss into small portions. Secure to wood or rock using aquarium-safe thread or suitable aquarium plant glue. Do not bury the moss in the substrate.

Maintain good water quality, gently remove trapped debris and trim occasionally to retain its shape. Use a suitable complete liquid aquarium fertiliser according to its instructions.
